Residents of Several villages of Handwara Protest Against illegal Mining

Handwara, Sep 29 :- The Residents  of Several villages of Handwara  and adjoining villages on Thursday  held a strong protest against the Illegal Mining  in  north Kashmir’s Handwara town. 

The protesting Residents  said the area is facing acute shortage of irrigation & Drinking water due to continuous dredging in nearby Nallah by some blue eyed persons.

Terming the e-tendering of Nallah “unacceptable”, farmers demand immediate withdrawal of e-tendering so that farmers will get a sigh of relief. 

When contacted Concerned Department they said that the extraction going on in nallaha kachwari Rajwar in Block 2 is Legal And is in accordance with the laws pravelling in this regard.
