Police Station Handwara arrests three peddlers, narcotics recovered

Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested three peddlers and recovered narcotics in Handwara area. 

Today a police party of Police Station Handwara, while on naka duty  at Kachwari  Handwara, apprehended three persons who had attempted to evade the police party in a suspicious manner. 

On search, around 29 grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from their possession. The persons have been identified as  Javid Ahmad Sofi S/o Ab Razak, R/o Khunbal Handwara,Gh Ahmad Mir S/o Ab Khaliq R/o Chanjmulla Zachaldara & Haroon Ahmad Reshi S/o Gh Mohi Din R/o Warpora Zachaldara

In relation to this, FIRNo. 266/2022 U/s 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Handwara and investigation has been initiated.

Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan commences at SDH Kupwara Shakir bhat Kupwara, 17 Sep:  Month long Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Commenced in SDH Kupwara today with multifarious activities and awareness campaigns held on day one throughout the district.
