Mir Sulaiman greets people on Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

Shakir bhat Handwara: District Development Council Rajwar  Mir Sulaiman greeted people on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi,  which marks the birth of Prophet Mohammad (SAW). Also, he has requested worshipers to pray for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. In his message, Mir said, “Muslims across the world observe the 12th of Rabi ul-Awwal as Eid Milad-un-Nabi. This is the day of blessing not only for the Muslims across the world but for all mankind as the Almighty Allah sent Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a messenger of peace and harmony for everyone.” He prayed, “May this Eid Milad-un-Nabi bring peace and harmony in our lives, and may the blessing of this sacred occasion fill our hearts with the mercy of Allah and guide us to the right path and fill our hearts with the mercy of Allah.

Residents of Several villages of Handwara Protest Against illegal Mining

Shakir bhat Handwara, Sep 29 :- The Residents  of Several villages of Handwara  and adjoining villages on Thursday  held a strong protest against the Illegal Mining  in  north Kashmir’s Handwara town.  The protesting Residents  said the area is facing acute shortage of irrigation & Drinking water due to continuous dredging in nearby Nallah by some blue eyed persons. Terming the e-tendering of Nallah “unacceptable”, farmers demand immediate withdrawal of e-tendering so that farmers will get a sigh of relief.  When contacted Concerned Department they said that the extraction going on in nallaha kachwari Rajwar in Block 2 is Legal And is in accordance with the laws pravelling in this regard.

Shakir bhat Handwara administration starts massive  macadamization of Roads in Tehsil Zachaldara area Specifically Rajpora inner links  has been macdamised by R&B DIV Handwara  which is a seigh of relief for the people.   This road has been black topped for a carriageway of 3.65mm. World Rabies Day celebrated at SKUAST-K Srinagar Shakir bhat In a pioneer initiative, Directorate of Extension/SAMETI celebrated the World Rabies Day today as on September 28, 2022. Beginning of the workshop started with a rally in Shalimar Campus, SKUAST-K led by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai and Director Extension, Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi.  The participants included Scientists from the Directorate of Extension, Diploma Extension students, representatives of the farmer fraternity and students of SKUAST-K numbering more than 250.  The rally started from Vice Chancellors Office and concluded at Directorate of Extension where the participants assembled in the Hall. Debris on Khekji Satkoji-Zachaldara road to be cleared soon.ADC Handwara  On the public representation regarding the debris on Khekji Satkoji- Zachaldara road, the ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir today convened a meeting of concerned officers to resolve the issue.  DFO Langate, XEN PMGSY Handwara, Tehsildar Zachaldara, Representative from DMO Office Kupwara and other concerned attended the meeting.  The meeting held threadbare discussion regarding the accumulation of the debris on Khekhji Zachaldar road. The Executive Engineer PMGSY was directed to clear the debris from the spot within a week’s time, besides, he shall take necessary action for raising a protection wall to stop further land sliding on the spot.  The concerned DFO and Mining Department was directed to issue necessary NOCs to the PMGSY Handwara for clearing the debris.

A Mega Kisan Mela was organized today on 24th Sep 2022 at Kargil by Directorate of Extension, SKUAST Kashmir under the Chairmanship of Alhaj Feroz Ahmad Khan Chief Executive Counselor LAHDC. KVK’s of both UT’s of Ladakh and Kashmir, line departments, Agri entrepreneurs , and progressive farmers show cause their exhibits / products, farm power machinery and latest agri and allied technologies.  The mela was organized under the instructions of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor & mentorship of worthy director extension SKUAST- Kashmir. The mela was attended by all the Executive members of LAHDC, officers of line departments Associate Director’s, All Programme coordinators of KVK’s of Kashmir and Ladakh.
